The Medical vacuum is an essential technical fluid used forsuction of liquids, secretions and gases during care, diagnosis and surgery. In healthcare facilities, medical vacuum is generally produced in a centralized and distributed via a dedicated network to the points of use (operating rooms, emergency services, intensive care, patient rooms). It is used for numerous applications: surgical suction, post-operative drainage, airway unobstructions, endotracheal aspiration, as well as for some diagnostic and laboratory equipment.
